Steps to Become a Photography Book Writer

Publishers are looking for good books about digital photography. I've been able to break into the business by doing a few things to let important people:

know what I do
know who I am
know where I've been
know my photography style.

So what do I tell them?

I tell them:

I sell my photography all over Southern California. I specialize in retro images. I've traveled the world, shooting great photographs that are now a part of a huge collection just waiting to be published.

I have a Masters degree in creative arts from San Francisco State University. I have written two books, Digital Art Photography for Dummies and 50 Greatest Photo Opportunities in San Francisco. I'm currently working on a third book, 101 Quick and Easy Secrets to Create Winning Photographs.

I've traveled all around the world, photographing the best of what a variety of countries has to offer. I've shot in Myanmar, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Barbados, Canada, Hawaii, France, Germany, Sweden, Russia, Thailand and more.

My narrative style has viewers studying my photographs to figure out the message and content in each picture I take.

Here are some steps to get into the photography book writing business:

1. You need come up with some good ideas for books about digital photography.
